A very good place to start...
If you were raised an Anglican, the following will give you resources to things you thought you couldn't find again.
If you are a Christian brother or sister who wants to learn more about Anglicans or the Orthodox Anglican Church, this is also the place for you.
If you are not a believer and want to find out what we believe, the Anglican Church is an excellent introduction to "mere Christianity".
The Oxford Martyrs: Archbishop Thomas Cranmer, Bishop Hugh Latimer and Bishop Nicholas Ridley
Following the tradition of St. Timothy, great men of the Anglican Church were also martyred. Archbishop Cranmer himself, the primary architect of the Anglican Book of Common Prayer, Bishop Latimer and Bishop Ridley, who also served on the committee to produce the Book of Common Prayer, were all burned at the stake - here depicted in this stained-glass window commemorating Oxford Martyrs' Day.
Famous last words...
Hugh Latimer: "Be of good cheer, Master Ridley, and play the man, for we shall this day light such a candle in England as I trust by God's grace shall never be put out."
PRAYER: Keep us, O Lord, constant in faith and zealous in witness, after the examples of your servants Hugh Latimer, Nicholas Ridley, and Thomas Cranmer; that we may live in your fear, die in your favor, and rest in your peace; for the sake of Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
