Welcome! St. Timothy's is a Virginia Mission Parish in the Orthodox Anglican Church. Our goal is to help bring traditional Anglicanism back to Virginia. We are a member congregation of the Orthodox Anglican Church, the US member of the global Orthodox Anglican Communion, established in the 1960’s as a self-governing Anglican body. St. Timothy's is the first mission parish in Virginia, and is currently meeting with inquirers of all backgrounds who are seeking a church home.

Our Mission: Biblical Faith and Anglican Practice.

Our mission is to present our Lord Jesus Christ in Word and Sacrament, and to perpetuate and promote, with the help of Almighty God, the biblical Faith and Anglican doctrine, discipline, and worship as directed by the Book of Common Prayer (1928).

I was glad when they said unto me, We will go into the house of the Lord. Psalm cxxii I.

How do I find you?

Currently, St.Timothy's is conducting Evening Prayer services on Sunday evenings at 7:30 PM in Poquoson

Please email our Missioner, Paul Hubbard for more information.

If you cannot meet with us on Sunday evenings, please contact Mr. Hubbard and ask him your questions, or arrange a meeting.  Other service times are available, so please ask.

Each service is followed by Coffee Hour and Open Discussion about the day's lessons.  Families are welcome and encouraged to participate in the liturgy.

What is Orthodox and What is Anglican?

Our Beliefs: Orthodox - We believe and confess the three ancient Creeds of the Church: the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed. We believe Holy Scripture is God’s written word.

We believe in the genuine spiritual power of the sacraments. We believe in the power of God to heal the sick and broken-hearted. We believe that loyalty to our Lord is expressed by service to our fellowmen. We believe in the necessity of inward spiritual development and the outward amendment of life of every Christian.

Our Tradition: Anglican - As Anglicans, we worship God using the traditional Book of Common Prayer (1928 in the USA), the Hymnal (1940), and the Authorized Version of the Bible (KJV). We are led by Bishops who trace their Apostolic Succession through the Apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ and enjoy the same Episcopal Succession as the See of Canterbury or the See of Rome.
